Michael Pavitt Sunday, 22 January 2017 Jarkko Pokkinen has been unveiled as the Finnish men's goalball national team head coach by the Finnish Sport Organisation for Persons with Disabilities (VAU).

Pokkinen will hope to build the team in the next couple of months, as Finland look to respond to a poor showing at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, where they only earned one victory.

TINA HOBLEY has revealed she is still using a crutch to help her walk almost a year after her serious accident on Channel 4 show The Jump.

A bid from Brisbane for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games moved a step closer in September after the South East Queensland Council of Mayors agreed to go ahead with a feasibility study.... PREPARATIONS are well under way for a new sports centre. After the relocation of Holywell library to Holywell leisure centre, Matthew Inskip took over the old library building in a community asset transfer from Flintshire Council.

There will also be a boxing ring with training rooms and facilities for disabled athletes in Flintshire.
